Medjet vs. Skymed

Does anyone have any experience with either of these? Or is there a comparison/review that someone may have? I'm trying to decide which one to get and would appreciate your feedback.

MedJet was started by Jeff Tolbert of Birmingham, AL and the insurance coverage is backed by Lloyd's of London and they contract with air ambulance companies to transport patients. Although they do not operate their own aircraft the coverage is good and reliable. After Jeff sold that company he started another air ambulance company called AirMed international which operates thier own aircraft and also sells travel insurance policies. I would trust either one to get you home but MedJet has coverage that will also transport your motorcycle home should you have and accident. You can check that out on the MOA website. I was a pilot for MedJet for 5 years when they owned thier own aircraft so I can vouch for their commitment to serve the policy holders.

Thank you for the information. I wasn't aware of AirMed. I did notice that SkyMed and MedJet are having booths at the Rally. I also like the extra benefit of getting my bike back home.

Go with Medjet Assist. I have been a member since 2003. Thankfully haven't had to use their service, but I have a couple of friends who have and they swear by their service. One of the friends has been evacuted twice, once from China and once from Russia. He will tell you the evacuation from Russia saved his life.
