Just spoke with Ron. He came through the surgery just fine and was lounging in the comfortable confines of his room at Brookwood. The Dr. told him the surgery went just as planned. He said he is not in a great deal of pain but is also not looking forward to the P.T. that is ahead. All in all a good report and he expects to be set free from the comfortable confines of his room at Brookwood on Wednesday or Thursday. And he didn't even slur his speech!Current Bikes

Ooops sorry Jim..didn't answer your questions. I think recovery time, or at least off from work is about 8-10 weeks??? I think that is what he told me.
However he is most definately planning to be at the meeting in Montevallo.Current Bikes

Ron, Jill & I are thankful your surgery went well and we wish you the best toward a speedy recovery. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone in a couple weeks. We missed many meetings from August-December with my son's soccer and then his pneumonia. All the best Ron.Chris Patterson

Hello Everyone!
It's great to be home! I really appreciate all the thoughts, prayers and well wishes of everyone. It means a great deal to me. I 'm doing well and for the most part pain free. The recovery is going to take several months. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the Montevallo meeting, I'm sure I'll be ready to get out of the house by then!! Thanks again, Ron

Hi Ron, it's great to hear that you are back home and doing well. Hope that your recovery from surgery continues and the PT is not too hard. It will all be worth it when you can ride and funtion again without discomfort. Hope to see you at the meeting
