Jim, just spoke with Bill, he is feeling better today and I can understand his speech much better. It has been three weeks yesterday since the accident. I asked him a couple days ago when he might be going home, he said, not soon I hope. He is in the reabilitation center of the same Hospital. He also told me to thank all the club members for their prayers, phone calls and thoughts.
I will try to do a better job of keeping you guys and gals posted on his current condition.

Jamie, I sure will, before I ever met you personaly, Bill told me how much he liked and respected you. From you a old Chopper Crew Member to Bill a old CWO Chopper Candidate, this I will do. Keep him in your prayers, he told me yesterday he is wearing out. This from the toughhest ole Postal Insector one will ever meet. By the way to those that dont know as I didnt, a Postal Insector does not inspect mail, they are the FBI of the US Postal System.

Bill is from St. Joe, Mo. but he often told me Alabama is the most Beautiful State in the Union and he had more friends here in Alabama than any where else he ever served. His Granddaughter calls him her Grumpy, lets all continue to lift up prayers for "Grumpy".
