  • Casey Hardison

25 Year member Casey Hardison passed away on Feb. 28th.
His son was going through his things and found the info to send the club an e-mail.
I sure wish I had known. He was a guy who had gone everywhere and done everything.
    He'll be missed dearly.

I don't remember the whole story but he quit riding basicly when he fell from a light pole doing something he knew how to do but should have just got on the phone and called the company responsible to come and fix. But we never learn, Suz chews me out every time I get on the roof to clean the gutters.

Casey retired from the power company and was an accomplished climber, but the pole he climbed at his farm (his pole) was rotted below the ground line and fell with him on it. Jim, you are correct; It seemed that he never fully recovered from that accident.

He never lost his love for bikes though, he and Harold would sit on the bench in front of Venture every Saturday morning and watch everyone come and go.

Man , I hate to hear that about Casey. He made his first ( and maybe only ) trip to Daytona with me on his " wheel " as he liked to call it. I took a picture of him and Vaughn Beals who was the CEO of Harley at the time talking. He asked me later " Who was that guy , Don? " He was a class act. When he retired he was the Superintendent of the power plant at Wilsonville , Alabama. He always called it a " Fossil " plant because it was fueled by coal. Casey was a true Southern Genleman. Rest in Peace , my old Friend.
