Suz and I are on our way to Ft Myers as my 92 yr old mom is in the hospital with a broken hip. Please say a prayer for her. She has always been very independant and active until now.

Thank you all for your well wishes, my mom is doing well. She had a partial hip replacement Sunday morning and the hospital staff is impressed with how well she is doing. You would have to know her but she is a retired nurse and is playfully giving them a hard time and is smiling through it all. They have already had her up to sit in a chair and she said it hurts to walk but still smiling.

Wow, sorry to hear ! My prayers and best wishes are with you and her.
Sorry for the delay, I ended up in the hospital this weekend too for a while, but fortunately only for a kidney stone and it's fine now. But I haven't been on the computer to see this until now.

Connie, sorry to hear about the kidney stone. People that have never had one cannot imagine the pain associated with it. I hope you are better.

Thanks Jamie, Gail, and all who've called to check on me. Yep, it was nasty nasty pain, but hey, only a weekend's worth unlike some of our folks being posted about here.

Jim, Got any new updates on MOM ?

Thanks to you all for your well wishes and prayers for my mom. She is recovering exceptionally well for a 92 year old and will be going to a rehab center for PT. The doctor told her she will have to recover to a state of self sufficiency before she will be allowed to return home. She said she is ready to get to work and back home in her own routine. So we are well pleased with her strong resolve and good spirit through it all. I hope I'm as tough as she is when and if I make it to 92.

Hey Connie, so sorry to hear about your kidney stone...hope everything passed with not too much pain! Sure missed you in PA, Don Norwood too. Hope his Mom is doing as well as Jim's (she is in rehab making great progress). We took Don's place selling CD's and shirts for Paul Thorn and made a bunch of new friends working back stage...all very nice folks in all the bands...'cept for one. For him, I will heed my Momma's advice, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." We should be home soon and have a few pics to put online. Hope to see you soon! Suzi D
