Rembering the Harrelson family in loss of their Mother.

I am sure you join me and expressing our sincere sympathy to the Harrelson family during the loss of their mother.

From posts on Facebook by some family members, she passed away this afternoon.

Vance Barbara and I are so sorry to hear about your mother, I know it is a tough time. I am glad you were able to get back from your trip and hope you were able to tell her all about it. You and Mari will be in our prayers.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers during this time. Mom was indeed one great lady that lived a long and happy life with grace, honor and total commitment to her family, friends and church. She was so supportive of her five boys and all we have undertaken...including the sport of motorcycling.While she was always a little "worried" about us as you would expect a mother to be, she was very supportive of our chosen sport.It didn't hurt that she loved to travel and so she really enjoyed hearing about all the exciting places we have been. Many of you know that we received her cancer diagnosis in early May when I was finalizing the plans for our Alaska trip. Of course I offered to cancel the trip and stay with her but she would have none of that. She insisted that I go and that she would be here when I got back to hear all about it. Well, she waited and I am glad that I had the time to share with her all my pictures and stories. In fact the map and itinerary I prepared for her is spread out on her dining room table still today.

I will miss her greatly but I know that she is in a better place...thanks again to all of you. and Norwood, I don't know what I was thinking at the time that pic was taken, but it is a good one of her...thanks for posting it!

Vance, it is sad news to hear of your mom's passing. Please know that you and your family are in Kathy's and my thoughts and prayers. When funeral arrangements are made, please let us know.

Thanks again to everyone for your condolences. Many have asked about arrangements and they are now complete. We will have a family graveside service Thursday morning 22nd followed by a memorial service at her church Vestavia Hills Baptist. Visitation with the family will be at 1PM followed by the memorial service at 2PM. Memorials can be made to the church. I am truly grateful to you all.

I have no words to express my heartfelt thanks to those that were able to attend my mothers memorial service today. It truly feels good to have friends that could take the time to attend a service for her.please accept my sincere thanks for your love, care and concern. Me and our family are lucky and honored to have such wonderful friends!
