I do not know any details, but heard that Don's Mother passed away sometime last night. Don told us Sat. that she had a massive stroke a couple of days ago. I am sure Don would appreciate everyone keeping him in their thoughts. Gail & Paul

Thanks all on the forum and FaceBook for your expression of condolences for my Mom, Like all our Mothers, she was special to me and my family.
I will share this with you, when she was a child, her father was like so many of those days...build or repair everything. My grandfather put a small gasoline power motor on a bicycle he had build from discarded bike parts...so Mom had a motorcycle in her early years...then fast forward to when she was age 50 or so...she purchased a new Honda Passport 50 I think it was...she rode around the area...I just hated that she wore a my old football helmet..but at least she wore a helmet.
She was the mother of four boys, with a six year span...therefore she was our fifth team player on the basketball court or quarterback on the lawn football games. Lots of great memories from backyard Saturday haircuts to me able to take your flying cross country in my pilot days..she loved to travel...now you know where I get that...it's a gene thing.
The last week of her life was very difficult going from great Tuesday conversation and her mind 100 per cent and then the massive stroke...Now I know she is at rest...Don G Norwood

Don: I'm sorry to learn (late) of your loss. Your post included references to Winfield AL, and my Paternal Grandfather (G3) moved to Marion County (Winfield) between 1840-1850 from Georgia, so that is a place close to my heart.
