I heard long time past member , Jim McCary of Anniston died last Wednesday . Jim was a nice guy whom I remember riding an old R65 .

James Milton "Jim" McCary
Obituary
James Milton "Jim" McCary passed on February 11, 2015. He had battled with Alzheimers for years. Jim was born on December 30, 1939 to James Grady McCary and Willie Pearl Tarwater McCary. He attended Walter Wellborn High School. Jim served in the United States Air Force from November 1958 to August 1963 as an Airman and Loadmaster Specialist. He received outstanding service awards, good conduct medal and was a member of the Air Force Rifle Team. He was a competition shooter all his life and captured gold medals in Ultra- Fire, Rim Fire and Pistol competitions; he also earned silver at the Alabama Sports Festival. He was a member of the Moss Branch Shooting Club, where he served as a range officer. James was a founding member of the BMW Motorcycle Club of Alabama. He was employed and retired from Anniston Army Depot as a machinist in Bldg 5, Director of Public Works. Survivors include his wife, Ann Steen McCary of 56 years; daughter, Definie McCary Scott; sons, James Martin "Marty" McCAry and David Wayne McCary. brother, Lewis McCary; sisters, Sue McCary Ransom and Cindy Leatherwood Scruggs; grandchildren, Jessica Barron, Ashley Snyder, Cara Benefield, Tyler and Carlyn McCary and Jon Hanson; several nieces, nephews and five great-grandchildren. The Family would like to give a special thanks to his caregivers Heather and Darrell of Southern Care Hospice. We also would like to thank The Goodson Funeral Home, Inc.
