Everybody remember Chris as he recovers from an off road get off at last weekend's meeting at Blue Springs. There were a number of us on the off road excursion led by Russs Kruse and about 3/4 of the way through Chris had an argument with a mud hole and was ejected from his bike breaking his leg below the knee in the process. The rest of the riders rallied to extract Chris from the woods and transport him to the hospital in Dothan. Jill picked him up late Saturday night and they returned home to Chelsea where he was to see an orthopedic surgeon today. He is sure that he will need surgery and the installation of some hardware to repair his lower left leg.

We wish Chris well and send our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery!

Ditto for Phillip also. Still has the titanium rod implanted. Chris is having same operation. You are in our prayers, Chris, for a speedy recovery.

Chris went home today. After extra checking, they determined he did not have any broken hip on top of everything and they ushered him out the door with instructions to call his surgeon. (His description)
If you are on facebook he has posted quite a bit there today. He just has to heal and recover now !

You cant post a link to a facebook post I dont think. Because I believe you have to be signed up with an account to see it.
He basically just posted some chatter back to folks who are wishing him well on there.
There was no other new news than what I posted above. His surgery went well and I believe he has some permanent hardware installed. He had already gotten up on his crutches which surprised the nurses. So I imagine his attitude may lend him a fast recovery if he doesn't try to do too much too soon. He already had motorcycle racing on his hospital room TV and has his standard GREAT attitude. Go Christopher!
Oh Bob, most of us OF's DO facebook. LOL

Talked to Jill last week I think it was, right after Chris' surgery. What a strong woman. Chris also very strong. I was very impressed with his ability to control his situation. Consider of course I used to be a ranger, pain was a close friend to me and my comrades. Chris is hardcore. I'm never going dirt bike riding again, I'm still cleaning mud out of the 650.

Dirt Bikes are supposed to be dirty. Excuse me, it's not dirt it's patina.
