Bob is still on the ventilator but they are in the process of weaning him off the vent. Kathy said he was more responsive today.

I heard from Kathy this afternoon and Bob's doctor said he came thru the procedures really well. Next they hope he will begin to regain kidney function. He is resting now. Please keep Bob and Kathy in your prayers.

Thanks again for the update Ron. Do we know what procedures? Possibly the weaning off the ventilator? Boy, he's going thru a lot!

Add our condolences to Kathy, family & friends. We were just getting to know him as this Covid business took hold.

Kathy would like some pictures of Bob. Particularly on his bike. Please post any you would like to share here or you can email them to me. If possible please post/send them by Tuesday July 7. Working on funeral arrangements. Will post details here.

Bob Steber’s visitation and service will be held from 11:30AM until 12:30PM on Thursday 9 July, 2020 at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home located at 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124 (Exit 246 off I65). The funeral home requires that you wear a mask and practice social distancing. The flag presentation and burial will be at 1:15PM at Alabama National Cemetery located at 3133 SR 119, Montevallo, AL 35115. At the cemetery the Commitment Shelter where the flag presentation takes place only accommodates 10 people. Cemetery personnel advised others may gather outside the Shelter provided they wear mask and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers Kathy requests that donations can be made to the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home of Alabama 86 Academy Drive, Eldridge, AL 35554 or a charity of your choosing.

An update on Bob’s Service. Southern Heritage has now informed us that people can arrive as early as 11:00AM. So 11:00AM until 12:30PM is the time at Southern Heritage.

could I get a headcount of those that plan to ride to Bob’s service. It would be fitting to escort Bob to the cemetery.
