Steve Hebert is leaving Tuesday the 22nd for Afganistan. We should keep him and his family in our prayers for the duration of his deployment.
Steve we pray you, Suzanne and your daughters have a wonderful couple of days together, and may the Lord keep and protect you and your family while you are away.
You will be in our thoughts as you serve our country. Thank you.

    Gary

Thank you all so much. I have become pretty close to this family and will stay in touch throughout the deployment.

Hello from Dubai. It was a very long flight from Atlanta. 15 hours or so. I did get to eat two full meals and watch 6 movies. I'll be here about 30 hours and am staying at the Millenium airport hotel.

                  Talk to you later,

                  Steve

                        Steve,
Once in country, look up a Navy Lt. Cmdr by the name of Sam de Castro. Sam is detailed to the police training unit. He and his wife are the best friends of my daughter and son-in-law. Sam is a great guy. Can't be that many Navy folks there so when you run into him tell him I said hi.

Hey Vance. I am going to respond to your blending in comment on the other forum here so we can combine the two.

How is this http://s-hebert.smugmug.com/gallery/...85213637_3H4Av for fitting in with the locals?

                            We had a great time!
