  • Joan Ware - bike wreck

Joan wrecked on her scooter yesterday up in Cherokee on the way home from the meeting. She is doing fine but a bit bruised and sore of course. She also broke an arm and a toe. The scooter is totaled.

She has asked that if you want to talk to her please send an e-mail instead of phone calls for the next few days so she can just sleep. She'll check e-mail when she's up and get back with you.

Let's wish her a speedy recovery.

                    Thankful

Sorry to hear that you had took a spill. Thank the Lord that you made it through without any major injury. Maybe that Guardian Angel was on their toes.

Take care of yourself, and let Terry to pamper you a little during your recovery!

Joan is doing really good ! She insisted on going and setting up a craft booth with me yesterday at Mt. Laurel as we had planned previous to the accident. That meant up at 4:30-ish and leaving at 5:45.
She is a little "colorful". Probably about 27 colors alone in her hand with the broken arm and finger. Black, several shades of blues, shades of browns, yellows and pinks. They are still going to have to set the arm. The swelling has been to much to be able to do that, so she still has some "#$^$#" to look forward to.
But she did just fine yesterday in helping set up the booth and her paintings and my etched glasswork. I'm sure she's still a little sore and the arm aches a bit but she never complained. We had some laughs about getting wet in the rain and decided that at least we learned something about setting up our booths, even if we didn't have much of a crowd at the show.
I'm sure you'll hear from her soon.

Joan, we sent you an e-mail but with the local services being somewhat iffy we want to wish you a speedy recovery here in case you didn't get it. Get well soon and get another scoot.
