Hey Alabeemers.
Come join your fellow BMW club members for Sunday lunch at Benedickt's Restaurant and Bakery next Sunday (September 19th, 2010), and plan to arrive at 11:30AM, opening time. Benedickt's is famous for their fried chicken pulley bones and delicious vegetables as well as fabulous home made desserts.
The restaurant is located between Springville and Oneonta at 4125 CR 27, (205) 274-0230, GPS: N33 52.017 W86 26.609. At the four way stop intersection of US 11 and SR 174 in Springville, go north on Murphrees Valley Road to the top of the mountain and then continue east on CR 27 to Benedikt’s on the right (9.5 miles). From Hwy 231, go south on CR 29 two miles then right on CR 27 four miles to Benedikt’s on the left.
After lunch, Gary Nesmith will lead a two hour (+ -) ride over some of his favorite motorcycling roads in Blount County. Along the way we will check off 6-8 ABEES points of interest including three of Alabama's most famous covered bridges. If you join us after lunch for Gary's ride, please be sure you have a full tank of fuel and an empty bladder. As Vance says, FTEB.
The forecast is for sunny skies and a high of 85.
