  • Searching for "The Bear"

Arose early this morning and headed toward Tuscaloosa. Maybe I can see some the Bear's footprints.

Stopped at the Mercedes Visitor Center and then on to the Bryant Museum. National trophies, SEC championship trophies, a whole lot of bowls trophies. A great museum.

I need to go back to the Natural History museum. They were not opened but a nice lady told me a good bit about what is inside.

Good to ride around the campus again.

Had a early lunch at Dreamland. Still some of the best ribs anywhere.

Mound State Park and the Indian mounds and settlement always interest me.

Time to get back to the house. Took county road 50 from Moundville over to Centerville. It started out as a good, smooth, twisty road but became a nice packed gravel for about 12 - 15 miles.

I took one Bob's favorite rides, Shelby/Bibb County 10 home.

This is my last chance to ride for the next couple of weeks. I am leaving tomorrow for the semi-annual furniture show in High Point, NC.

Sounds like a great trip Martin. Looks like I need to get in gear and go ABEESing.
