  • Extreemely Alabama ride

I just woke up from a short nap after finishing the ride that Jim and I started yesterday. We were not able to finish it in less than 24 hours which was our big goal. We did finish in 24 hours, 57 minutes. I will write a little story about it and why we chose not to push it to make it in less than the 24 hours. It is doable, but we were "confused" several times.

    More tomorrow,

    Steve

I wrote a ride report about the trip and posted it here: http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthread...gonew/1#UNREAD

I am not skilled with this program to add the photos and all.

Jamie, feel free to cut and pace all you want to if you want this in the next news letter. I know that we will not have one until Jan 08.

Very well done Steve and Jim!! You guys are to be congratulated for completing the Extremely Alabama challenge in under 36 hours (24 hours and 57 minutes) and I am especially pleased you didn't push yourselves to exhaustion. Your article for the Sport Riders group was also very well done. It made me feel that I was riding along with you all, 'cept you would have left me somewhere around Waterloo after my derrière gave out.
