Here are some pictures taken while making sales calls. To be honest, more riding that sales calls.

Great photos Martin. Just seeing them makes me want to get out of the house and go for a ride. I am still amazed at the beautiful sights to see here in Alabama. Also glad to see water going over the falls!

Billgoat. You are right about that. There are excellent motorcycling roads in Alabama that are as good or better than most of the other roads in the southeast.

Well, after getting crowned the other day I decided to take the sweetie out wandering around. Yesterday we went to Cullman and Blount Counties to visit Clarkston and Swann covered bridges and the Catholic POI's near Cullman (Cathedral in Cullman, Ave Maria Grotto and the Shrine near Hanceville.) While in Cullman we ate at All Steak and can testify to the heavenly nature of the orange rolls.
Note to Bob: we were going to eat at Sweet Potato Heaven but were told it is closed down.
While visiting the covered bridges we noted the increase in water levels and decided today would be a good day to visit a couple of waterfalls. So we went to Welcome Falls in Morgan Cty and Thompson Falls in Marshall County.
both of these are a little difficult to find, so anyone wanting to visit them drop me a line and will detail how best to find them.

Gary, thought you said you were going to spend more time on GS rides instead of POI points. Looks like you have started the year off good.

I really like waterfalls, but honestly some of these are hard to find. Also tried to find Ditto falls but looks like it is on private property and it was too late to ask and go prowling. You can accumulate a whole bunch of POI's elsewhere while trying to find one waterfall.
I think later in the year I will schedule a group ride to a couple of these falls and covered bridges, cuz there are some nice riding roads along the way.

Dang Outlaw. You, Angie and Martin are laying down the gauntlet. It isn't even mid January and you have enough checkoffs to have a chance to win Bogart's 2008 Olympia riding jacket. That's OK though; too bad you will have to wait a whole year for another chance to wear Bryson's jacket. At least you will be able to see me wearing my new jacket when David presents it to me after my name is drawn on the 27th. I asked David to bring a hi-viz AST size 2X so I can wear it home after the meeting Sunday, two weeks.

As usual, your photos and captions are great and I mentally enjoyed riding along with you. Also, it looks like now would be a good time to visit waterfalls.

Check the deleted list and you should see that Sweet Potato Heaven was deleted from the list. I talked to the owner mid-year and she said there was sickness in her family, so she had to close her business.

Puddin, are you going to let these guys and gal er lady do this to us so early in the year?
