  • Abees Ride

Went to breakfast saturday morning with a couple of my ex-goldwing members. The gold wing chapter had a ride planned to go to Russell cave national monument.
Brenda & I went with them.A little cool that day but not cold.Wore our heated vests.Which is just the thing.Ride up was beautiful.North on AL77 to Gadsden.Rode by Nocalula Falls which was another abees point.
We were trying to catch another group of riders that had left eariler.HIT I-59 n to Al 35 , then Al 117 and on to russell cave.
Decided to stop by by Barry's BBQ on the way home.Good decision!!!That has to be the best BBQ in Alabama.Next to the Shack in Talladega of course.
Headed Straight home since we had to at the Ritz in Talladega at 5:30pm.
We do volunteer work there.Great ride home.weather was beautiful.Got home right at 5pm.Just before dark.

Glad you are giving ABEESing a go Tallpaul. There are some surprisingly amazing sites to see right here in our own backyards.

I haven't been to Barry's yet, but hear it is really good. Tell me more about the Shack in Talladega. It isn't on the list, but from you statement, it should be. I am working on the new Touring Guide and will be sending the files to the printing company soon so please send your recommendation asap.
