  • Vintage bike ride to Anniston, Jacksonville, Heflin and Mt. Cheaha

John Harper and I had a great ride Saturday, Aug. 15 in his part of the world. Princess, John's 1975 R90/6 and Odalisque, My 1976 R90s performed like the thoroughbreds they are. We collected 10 ABEES checkoffs including Cottaquilla Road and Cheaha Road (The Pig Trail). These are two of the best motorcycling roads in Alabama, and I still can't get the grin off my face. Thankfully the Pig Trail is mostly clear of gravel now, but be careful

    Here are a few photos.

      That it was Vance.

If you haven't ridden Cottaquilla Road, you have missed a great one.
