    Bankhead Forest Ride

    We took a short ride through the Bankhead Forest Sunday afternoon. The colors are beautiful along the Wilderness Parkway (Hwy 33) and on the road to Brushy Lake. Color should be good for another week or so. A nice twisty addition is to take CR 63 from Hwy 278 at Houston until it intersects with 33 at Grayson.

    How is the road construction coming along?....the South (Winston Co) end had the grooved pavement with "warning" a couple weeks ago.

      The construction on 278 is finished. We ran into about 5 miles of grooved road on 33 just north of Double Springs. If you take 63 from 278 at Houston north to 33 you will bypass the construction and get the best ride as well.
      If anyone wants to ride in this area over the upcoming weekend, give me a call I can do the same ride again.
