We met at the Cracker barrel in Atalla at 6AM and went to the Blue Ridge M/C camp for some R/R and escape from the heat on Tuesday thru Friday. It was nice and cool up there with temps in the 50s at night. Jay cooked some delicious and tender rib eyes on Wednesday night. The Thompsons were gracious hosts at their home Thursday night and we were treated to some great venison burgers.

By the way Ric, are you coming to the LBL 200? If not, keep the September meeting on your calendar.Jim Dubick

Reminds me of the "09 Leaf Peepin" ride a bit. I had a great time on that one. The new RT looks awesome Jim. Is that Phillips next to yours with the fancy decal job? I really like the 2010-11 RT and will more than likely end up with one when I return for good.
I miss riding and camping for sure.

Steve the new R1200RT is the finest BMW I have owned. It is over 250pounds lighter than the K1200LT which I traded in and has 15 more horsepower. Power is good but that is not the main thing, it is also just as comfortable to ride as the LT and has all the same important long distance systems like cruise control and heated seats etc. The handling is awesome and I am trying to get used to the quick and light inputs required to eat pavement. You will do well to choose the RT when you make that purchase. Your lady will love it too. The comfort mode on the ESA is wonderful. Yes that is Phillips RT in the picture. That color scheme is a little much for me. Mine is Polar Ice Metallic and I love it. You need to quit that job and come home!Originally posted by SteveHebert View PostReminds me of the "09 Leaf Peepin" ride a bit. I had a great time on that one. The new RT looks awesome Jim.
