      Morning Vance,

Thank you for the update and photos. I wondered why your stop last evening was out in the country a few miles east of Fairbanks.

It looks like desolation and probably gravel from here on. I don't envy this leg of the journey but I hope they are having fun.

            Agreed Jim,

Amazingly, their ride tomorrow is to go from Wiseman to Deadhorse (Prudhoe Bay) and return to Wiseman (469 miles).

I had told Vance I did that leg in 13.5 hours ...only spent about hour in Deadhorse, getting fuel and pictures..It was cold that day..windchill was about 24 F...and I wanted to get back across Anigan Pass and back to Wiseman... I made good time and didn't have any issues..only 40 minute construction delay... I hope they fair that good..... this can be the tricky part of the trip and ride for sure...

Glad Russ got his bike going, and all is well. Now that it has been several days of adventure and tiredness has set in, have y'all started to "turn" on each other, or is that just a female thing? . I can just see four women making this trip without an incident . Thanks for all the updates, and the pics are great. Looking forward to more.... Gail

Hey Don, thank you for your experienced input. That helps tremendously for me to understand just how difficult the adventure is for our Alabeemers. I'm already exhausted by seeing the photos and reading about what they are going through.

Hey Gail, If you were on this trip with three other women, it would be the other three in a cat fight and you would just be smiling and looking forward to the next days ride

landed at Coldfoot for fuel and they can get a fair good hot meal...truck stop.... if they are packing lite for this leg... hope they take advantage of the chow line...

The German couple at Wiseman will do a early breakfast and no food or fuel until Deadhorse.... can you say...single serving SPAM with crackers and pop tarts?

They are four hours earlier up there so it's not dinner time yet. They are UTC -9 and we are UTC -5 so it's 5:30 PM there. Of course the days are real long to boot so they have plenty of daylight. But a long day for them, I bet they will sleep good tonight.
