  • Tour de Talledega

It was another great dual sport weekend led by Vance and Robb Harrelson. It started at the 61 year old dari dip in Heflin and then a remote campground in the Talledega National Forest. One of the highlights of the trip was the bubba burgers cooked on the wood fire. We toured 160 miles of mountain dirt roads in two days. What a delightful experience.

Thanks to everyone that participated this weekend for the Tour de Talladega! As Jim mentioned above we ran a lot of miles on some great forest service roads all over the Talladega National Forest. Great riding, great camping with great people and lots...and lots...and lots of dust! Our skills were honed with all different types of terain. Here are my photos...enjoy! http://picasaweb.google.com/vanmar27...eat=directlink

Ditto to all the remarks made about what a GREAT weekend we had. Paul & I really enjoyed it! Thanks to all the guys who organized this, all your hard work and planning to make this a wonderful riding experience. I personally could not have enjoyed it any more than I did. The confidence I gained in riding could not be bought at any price. What a great group of folks to be associated with. Thanks again!! Gail

I would like to add my thanks to Robb, Jim, and Vance for putting on this ride. I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I had to miss the Saturday night stew.

                    A few more pix...

That was a fabulous ride. I love that trail and it was in perfect condition for us. Wish I could have stayed longer. Fun day.
