March nauvoo meeting

Just wanted to let you know that I talked to Gene McDaniel at the Harbin Hotel and he is eager and ready for our club to be there in March.

They only have three rooms available in the Hotel so if you're planning on getting a room - you need to call as soon as you can. Their phone number is 205-697-5652.

Also, please remember that there is a two night minimum stay and because they are considered a Bed and Breakfast, breakfast is included.

Again this year, Gene has planned a scheduled parade through town on Saturday afternoon prior to dinner. After dinner we will have TV set up in the hotel lobby to watch our "theme" movie for this year- Easy Rider.

Tee shirts will be printed with the Easy Rider picture featuring Dennis Hopper on a BMW. If you know you want to order a shirt - you can email me with your size at dmassey@amerex-fire.com. Although final design isn't finalized, these pocket teeshirts will probably be between $12.00 & $15.00

It will be here before you know it! We are looking for another great time this year as we once again storm in and take over the town! Thw main thing we need right now is pre-orders for the commemorative t-shirts Darlene mentioned above. If you want one we need to know about it. Darlene and Gary are again planning to provide custom t-shirts to commemorate our annual Nauvoo meeting. This will be another unique piece and one that is envied by all who see them. A Charcoal grey pocketed Beefy T – with Dennis Hopper on a slash 5 BMW – bearing the wording – “Unbeschwerter Motorradfahrer”, meaning Easy Rider – and also “Easy Riding into Nauvoo 2010”. The cost is $15 each for this limited quantity of shirts so if you want one, please email Darlene dmassey@amerex-fire.com and let her know the size and quantity. Deadline for ordering is March 10 so order today!

Trailer for the upcoming Alabeemer's 2 video

Cody's already looking forward to this year's meeting and has posted a trailer on youtube for his upcoming movie montage of our adventures at Nauvoo. Cody's 14 this year, and his computer has some updated "editing software" (thanks to dad). But of course at 14 his taste in music is getting a little harder, I'll try to tone it down a little for the actual video, but it's so hard to constrain an artist...

Enjoyed the pictures Jimmy. It was a fun weekend terrorizing and pillaging the town. I forgot my camera at home so no photos from me. We really had a great time in Nauvoo. It's a really interesting place. We had a good trip back home. No rain and mostly sunshine all the way but quite windy. No problems and arrived home around 5:45 P.M. Hope everyone else had a good and safe ride home. See y'all in Gulf Shores.

Great pictures Jimmy & Everyone. I had my camera, I just didn't take many...lazy I guess. It was another fun weekend indeed. Glad everyone got home safely...now it's on to Gulf Shores!

I enjoyed my short visit ti Nauvoo, In that short little span of time I managed to get yelled at by a local Nauvite for "blocking the road" and witnessed an antique BMW throw a conniption in the middle of nowhere.

Mission accomplished.
