Here are a some photos from the Burkesville Rally. As usual it rained on the rally, but this time only at times when we were having lunch or dinner and under the protective roofs of the pavilion and AG. Center. But it rained like the dickens on the way home Sunday, (hard for more that 2 of the 6 hour ride home). My BMW boots, gloves and Olympia riding gear kept me dry and warm though.
As always, the Rally was a lot of fun and the roads in the Burkesville area are fantastic. There were only 7 of us this year (Martha & Phillip Warren, Paul and Gail Thorne, Dave Smith, Bob Steber and Connie Reaves) plus our friend Fletcher from Mississippi. Illinois won the most attended award and their president said thy would have more attendees next year. Our work is cut out for us. No mention at the closing ceremony was made of how many folks were at the rally except to say it was another record attendance.
The food was excellent again this year and the Saturday night steak was so big that it lapped over my plate and I could not eat all of it. The Saturday lunch was German brats and they were very good too. The coffee guy did an excellent job and had three or four pots going. When I was ready for a cup of coffee, it was there.
Thanks to all of the fine folks from the Nashville Club, Burkesville City officials and Bloodworth for putting on such a fine weekend gathering.

I put on a polartec sweater and the cuffs started wicking water from my soaked gloves......right up to my arm pits
. Now that is really comfortable. My butt was wet too.... not sure why, as I have the finest BMW riding pants available. May be time for Depends, I'm just not sure
. It took me two days to dry out the tent and all other gear, but we still had a good time. Thanks to all who put on the rally. Gail
& Paul
