    RIBFEST 2010 October 23

Hey ya'll the weather looks great this weekend maybe a little too warm.

The bridge is back up and the grill pit is ready. If you have not sent an email don't worry come on any way, the near by grocery has changed hands with a better meat department, we can run over and get more ribs if we run out! You are welcome to come on up Friday. There are a few good eateries near by. Breakfast at 9:00 on the Centerville Square at Breeces followed by a nice Dual Sport ride then the Ribs. Cant' wait to see you again. My heart goes out to Bob and his family,

Vance the coordinates that Bob posted in the past are N35 52.194 W87 26.553. Lee's property is on Old Mill Creek Road. From Highway 100 it is Mill Bell Branch road to Old Mill Creek Road. Or from Highwy 48 it is Bell Branch Road to Mill Bell Branch Road to Old Mill Creek Road. If you look at it on Mapsource it will become easier to picture what I'm talking about. Look forward to seeing everyone there.

The Ribfest was awesome! My first time...I want to thank Lee Waggoner for putting this great event together and allowing us Alabeemers to participate. For those who have not experienced this he has an unbelievable place there and has assembled a great cooking team as well. The weather was perfect amd we enjoyed a great ride both ways. Too bad we will have to wait a year to do it again!

What a great weekend for camping. The ribs were excellent. Great riding weather, great campfire. Now if I just had not gotten my bike stuck in the creek

                  More Ribfest Pictures

Suz and I got up in the moonlight and rode to the Arnold's home for a great breakfast and struck out for Centerville. Tommy led us on a great ride on the backroads. We checked in to the StayInn motel in Centerville and headed to Lee's farm. What great weather we enjoyed the whole weekend. Sunday morning we had breakfast at Breece's and then back home on the backroads with Tommy and Jeannine, Vance, Gary, Tim and Suz and I in the rear taking pictures. Only one scare on the way home when a stray calf decided to lead the pack of bikers. Here are the pictures.

Great pictures, but the calf was in the correct formation to lead!

And lead he did for a bit. Let me tell you he was a well respected ride leader too...nobody attempted to pass him!
