Don, we (Vance, Jack & me) got there just before noon. I agree that the chicken was great. Home safe and sound.

Yep it was great, I had the baked and fried....had to sample both you know.

We had about 30 Minutes of rain on I 10 and it warmed up to about 65,

There was a large crowd for breakfast, several wanted to beat the rain, the threat of rain kept many of the cruisers

                Hey Don.

Glad you made it safely to Perry. Your end of the year/first of the year adventure sounds like you are in for lots of fun and good riding.

The fried chicken at Stagecoach is my strong choice for being the best in Alabama. Wonder if if has Lowery's season salt in the recipe?

The the other chicken dish was not nearly as good to my taste. Rather than its being baked, it tasted more like it was smoked and when it comes to smoked chicken, it's hard to beat Capt'n Pecker's at the Great Chicken Rally.

Paul and I got home just before 5 this evening. The distance to Stockton down and back was 212 miles and it was a fun ride from Jimmeson to Maplesville, Selma, Camden and Stockton. Alabama 41 is an excellent motorcycling road with lots of high speed sweepers and good scenery. My Gerbings heated jacket really came in handy!!

The long distance rider was from San Diego, Ca. He rode just over two thousand miles to have lunch and then returned home

Glad to hear you guys had fun and enjoyed the well seasoned fried chicken. Suz and I are in south Florida enjoying grandkids and good seafood. Hope someone will post some pictures, I'm suffering from two wheel withdrawl symptoms.

It was a great ride. While the rain threatened it was dry most all day. We thought we would get WET a couple times...but the clouds were just sweating a bit! Sorry Jim, I did not snap a picture!

                      Thanks for supporting the RTE!

Thanks to all the Alabeemers that attended the Stagecoach RTE! I got to talk to some of you for a bit and it was especially great to see Bob and Paul again, it had been too long. Wish I could have visited with y'all longer.

Sorry that I missed Vance and Jack and some others, I try to get around to talk to everyone, but that never seems to work out the way I plan it. Next time, please track me down and say hello.

Thanks again to everyone that braved the threatening weather and supported the Annual Last Ride of the Year! Hope to see you there on December 30th, 2011. If anyone has photos from the event that they would like to share (thanks to John C for already doing this!), contact me here:
