Just received this from Don Stover. All you off roaders...here is your chance to take in some great riding around the Cherohala you have likely not seen!
Sounds like a good time and with Don cookin' the eats will be good too! Here are the details..
March Moto Madness 2011
and a little April Foolishness
March 31th, April 1st & 2nd
N River Road, Tellico Plains, TN
Approximate GPS coordinates
N35 19.620 W84 07.717
McNabb Creek is the place (already booked it) There is no water but they provided a porta pottie last year. Here’s the link for directions and info.
Plenty of room for all the guys and a few more. Room for tents, campers, trucks, trailers, bikes… If you know anyone else that might like to join us, invite them, there’s plenty of room.
Non gravel riders are welcome as well (let me know if your only interested in asphalt so I can coordinate it with other asphalt only riders). There’s great asphalt roads (you will have a little bit of groomed gravel to get to the campsite) and the “Après-ride” is always worth the trip!
Eatin’ is always great thanks to Don the “Cigar Man” and his kitchen bitch, Lt Dan.
We’ve run the gambit on weather but the trusty Old Farmer’s Almanac says we ought to have a good weekend.
The gate combo for anyone who arrives early on 3/31 is 0458. The earliest we’re allowed to get there is 2 pm.
Anyone trailering or in a truck might consider bringing water, chain saw, charcoal, canopy, tarp, etc. Anything to help make everything go a little easier. There are picnic tables and grills on site.
Hope everyone can make it!
‘Ya In? ‘Ya Out?
