Dogwood Rally

The Dogwood Trail Rally is April 7-9, at Turkey Creek Water Park near Decatur, MS. Friday night chicken and sausage gumbo, Band all day Saturday,BBQ Saturday, Trainer simulator, 2 riding classes by The MOA, door prizes and more. ... Is anyone in the BMWMOAL planning on going ???

Went last year..would like to this year but won't know for sure til mid week. Great rally though!!!

Wanda and I are planning to go if the weather is decent. I went last year and the new location is very nice. BMW Motorcycles of Baton Rouge (Hebert's) is planning on taking up a few demo bikes to the rally.

Another great Dogwood Rally. The weather was nice, a little on the warm side at times. There was a pretty decent turnout. The Alabeemers were well represented. Rode some nice roads on Saturday(well most of them) and had lunch at the Silver Star Casino in Philladelphia, Ms. There were a couple of crashes during the rally but luckily no injuries, just some hurt pride and bike damage. One of the crashes involved David Sanchez, who rode with our group from Baton Rouge to the rally. His Harley was hauled back to Baton Rouge by the crew from BMW Motorcycles of Baton Rouge who had trailered some demo bikes to the rally. Nice of them to help out. Wanda and I rode home on mostly back roads, only about 50 miles of I-slab. Got home about 2:30 P.M.feeling like c#@& with a cold or something. Hope everyone else had a fun and safe ride home. Looking forward to Gulf Shores. Forgot the camera again so no photos but hopefully Vance, Eric, and Greg will post their's.
PS: Eric is turning out to be a pretty decent Intern. Keep up the good work P-Nut

Glad everyone got back in OK...we did too. Had a great ride home through some Alabama backroads...I just love the springtime..azaleas in full bloom!

Great time at the rally. A lot of kick back BS time and that is what rallying is all about!

That new Catoma tent is real nice. Sets up easily but is more easily packed back up...especially if you are off doing something else and Mari, Gator and Wanda pack up for you! I will say however, that model is a bit small for two people....lol....glad it was only one night...or I would have most likely been relegated to a picknik table....lol....

I just lended moral support, like "I thought Vance was an intelligent guy" - in ref. to the mummy size Catoma tent. I know you will want to give your wife all the praise that she deserves!!!
