I'm planning on being there. I may have to change my name on the entry form
though. I hear that the EPA is looking for an old guy that destroyed several trees.

Dang....I want to go !!! Thats only 200 miles from house !

The LBL200 page is of limited description. Hence:

                  1. Do you guys camp; bring tent, sleeping bag, use the shower facilities etc..?

                  2. What do you do for food, both at the camp site and while out on the trail ?

                  3. You show up on Friday and leave on Monday (Sat & Sun are two full days of trail riding) ?

                  4. "Fuel truck every 50 miles; bring your own gas can." Not sure I understand this. What kind of gas can ? How many gas cans ? How many miles are covered each day (to account for gasoline requirements) ?

                  5. Do I have this right; you send in the registration form to K-T Riders and you call Piney Campground to reserve a camping spot (assume you tell them you're with the LBL200 group and they put you in the appropriate area) ?

Appreciate any info to help bring me up to speed on LBL proceedures.....I'm not really this much trouble in person..

                    Hi Ric...here is the info....

                    1. Yes, we camp there...onsite showers..good. Bring your tent and we will try to get adjoining sites! Kalahan and Kruse will build their
"compound" where chow and chat will happen! We split the grocery bills...

                    2. Again, grocery shop before hand, Kalahan and Kruse will likely do that or tell us what to bring. You will want to carry trail mix or crackers and a botle of water on the trail.

                    3. Yes, last year we arrived on Friday and left on Monday...

                    4. We just filled a acouple plastic gas cans and took along with us. They will have a truck that you put your can on in the morning and they pull it to the gas stop...where you refuel your bike...easy deal....

                    5. Yes, last year Kalahan reserved all the sites to get them together and then we paid for them on arrival...works better that way...

Hey man, I hope you can make it. We had a blast last year and I am looking forward to this year and a repeat. They promise les tarmac this year and more trail. In fact I believe we will stay entirely inside LBL this year...hope for no rain prior!!

ThX Vance....good answers....I'll double check my calender and put in my registration/reservation soon.

BTW....I'm one of the ring-leaders of the Kawasaki Triples 2-stroke group. You guys come up to our 12th annual Deal's Gap meet this May 22 - 29. We get about 100 2-stroke road bikes HQ'ed at the Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort. As well as my 2-strokes i'll be taking my KLX up there for some trail riding in the Smokey Mountains .

                          Lbl 200

                          Ok Gang,

Sounds like its on again. My registration has been mailed

We will set up the compound again this year as the central point to converse about the days activities and the lies about how we saved it from becoming the "BIG ONE". We'll do the cookin' again at the compound and as Vance said we'll either let you know what to bring or Russ and I will purchase the grocerys for the meals and bring them with us. Definately dinner for 2 nights as they feed us that great BBQ dinner the other night. Will do some type of breakfast at the campsite but that means you gotta get up early enough to eat it and wash it down with a gallon of coffee.

We'll use this thread as the point for sayin' that your goin' . As like last year when we get the final total i will make the reservations with Piney Campground so all the campsites are together.

More to follow as we get closer.

Somebody else is responsible for lettin' the squirrels know that Gary is back in the state

                          Jim
