Nauvoo Anniversary Party...Be There!

Join us in October to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our great club! we will do this with an all out takeover again of the quaint town of Nauvoo, Alabama. This will be a big time with lots of things to do...and whatever you do, don't miss Saturday night!

We welcome our neighboring BMW Motorcycle clubs to come join the celebration along with us too. Nashville, Chattanooga, Georgia, Mississippi...bring it on!

Nauvoo updates and reminders

I'm glad to report that we will have a band for Saturday night at the Harbin hotel. The band is" Daze Gone Bye". You can find out more about them and check out their song list at www.dazegonebye.com
If you haven't made your meal reservations yet, please do it now. We don't know how many people are are staying in the hotel so we need to hear from you too. We are going to have Nathan's all beef hot dogs with all the fixin's on
Friday night that will be around $6.00. Saturday night Bar-B-Que dinner will be
served in the dining room with pulled pork, Southern sides, soft drinks or tea and desserts for around $10.00. Breakfast will be served on Saturday and Sunday mornings for $6.00 per person.
The deadline for ordering T-shirts is Thursday 10/20. A little more info on the
T-shirts: They will be a pale green with black, white, and red artwork. They do have a pocket and will sell for $15.00.

Was at Nauvoo couple times today...carried my small camping trailer up today and mobile sign for the children's home,...there where several gathering in...from Tn, VA. Ca, already.... and couple locals...but odd no members of the club yet...... light rain and cooling off...so prepare...but improving as the weekend progresses... see you there Friday about noon...as I return again....

Bob, first..hope you are on the mend and feeling good....

All for the Birthday celebration and meeting....one couple in toy hauler been in Nauvoo for two weeks waiting on us.. Met two guys from Johnson City... they both are Chicken Rally vets... and Dave Swisher rolled in as well as couple more guys... BMW Mag...photographer is there too... think he was from California..

Looks like Gene had painted the depot...still remember the weekend several of us slept on the floor due to the weather and the caboose was full already.

Hi Don.

I am healing more quickly than I expected, especially considering my old cootness and lack of exercise. Thank you for asking. Kathy and I will drive to Nauvoo Saturday mid day and return home after dinner.

How could I forget being chased into in the depot by the 28 degree temps. That is when I had the great pleasure of meeting your friend Fletcher.

I think our guests are going to be amazed with what they will enjoy seeing and doing in Nauvoo, and I'll wager Gene has charmed the early arrivers already. I wonder how much of a culture shock the fellow from California will encounter

We missed seeing you and Suz. There was a large turnout, about 75 I think and every one was having a good time. It was especially good to see Erik there. He looked great and was in good spirits.

Jim we missed you guys too! There were a lot of pictures taken by members and a bunch by the BMW Motorcycle Magazine photographer that was there. I will have those once he has time to download everything. I am quite sure there will be members pics posted here shortly too!

As Bob said we had a great turnout and a really good time. It was great to see Erik and Bob there along with quite a few out of towners including Dave Swisher!

We had a great band and at the meeting on Sunday morning we recognized by name many of the early members that are no longer with us. To me that was a very special moment as a number of folks shared special memories.

It was a great time and I want to again thank all those that worked so hard to pull it all off. Thanks again to Gary and Darlene for all their hard work in putting it together!!
