Here are the meeting details for this weekend. Weather looks great...come on up!
Hello Alabeemers!
This weekend we will hold our regular monthly meeting at the Laurel Trails Campground on top of Monteagle mountain outside Chattanooga, TN. The weather forecast is for cool but sunny conditions with a high of 69 on Saturday and a low of 51 on Saturday night…welcome to fall!
There is of course great riding in the area off both sides of the mountain so you will want to plan on that. We have some suggested rides and I hear ole Tommy Arnold will be in attendance and he knows the mountain and the area!
Should you decide to visit Pandora’s in Chattanooga, there will be a seminar this Saturday on carrying concealed weapons when you ride. I suspect some of you “pack” when you ride so this may be an informative seminar for you!
There are several opportunities for camping at Laurel Trails including tent camping as well as a cottage, a cabin and a bunkhouse. We are asking that you make your reservations directly with the campground so see the contact information below. Here are some details Terese has gotten together;
The one bedroom cabin (queen size bed (all bedding here already for the queen and fold out), fold out couch, bathroom and kitchen) $75 per night.
The cottage (three bedrooms)master bedroom has queen size bed (all bedding here already) private bathroom with jacuzzi tub and shower. The other two rooms are set up with bunk beds each room sleeps 4 (bring sleeping bags) $120. per night or $40 dollars a room ( this is for people that know each other and don't mind sharing a house for a weekend) there is a second full bathroom for the two bunk bed rooms to share, along with the common area living room and kitchen.
The bunk house has 8 bunks in it, a common kitchen and bathroom, the cost per bunk is $10. Please note there is already one in the bunk house leaving 7 beds as of today.
Tent camping is $10/night per person
There will be firewood available
Eating As for eating, there are several good restaurants available in the area and meals will be on your own for this meeting. The Smokehouse is a local favorite as well as there is a good Mexican restaurant, Papa Ron’s Italian and a Chinese Buffet so the choices are varied!
We will have the usual coffee and pastries available on Sunday morning.
There is even a gas grill at the campground available for our use should you bring provisions with you!
Also please note that Martha Warren will be at the meeting Sunday morning to unveil the new logo format required by chartered clubs with the execution of the recent agreement with BMW AG. She will be able to explain the details of this agreement and show the new format!
Even though there are no reservations required for this event we would like to know how many will be in attendance. Please let me know by email alabeemer@gmail.com as soon as possible if you will be attending.
The meeting will be held at;

Bob, your ride will work. Rick has the transmission and does not expect to have it back until maybe next week.Martin Benson

Jim, that is a gracious offer and I appreciate it. I would not want to take the chance of hurting "Goldie". My bike should be ready before the October meeting. You all have a great meeting and ride.Martin Benson
