The new spot is Riff Burgers. It is located on Hiway 31 about a half mile south of Jim & Nick's and just before you cross the river bridge. It is located in the shopping center where Chase Lake CC used to be and right next door to Taziki's. and the hamburgers are good!
Me and Woods were the lone attendees last week so Jake if you and Bob are coming along this week that would be great! Unfortunately I will be on another conference call with the MOA this Thursday night But you guys go and have fun!

I may not be here for a long time...but I am here for a good time!
Bob, thanks for letting me know. Is anyone else coming? - I would like to see this get started again but I don't like the drive out that way (especially in a car) unless there will be others there.
I can't make it either Jake but I believe Jack will be there and likely Woods and Mike Greenwood. Those guys have been the regulars for some time now. Not sure about anyone else...but I would like to see this get going again!!

See you there Jack. Tommy Crawford and his wife, Diana, are coming. I won't be able to stay long but I really want to get a regular non-meeting going for riding season.
Not a bad "crowd" tonight -- for a cold evening in February. 7 folks (including 2 wives), 2 bikes in attendance (wanna' guess who rode?). General consensus of this group is that Riff's is a pretty good place to meet, not too difficult to get to, even from downtown B'ham. Plenty of parking, for both cars and bikes. When the weather warms up, the outside patio (partly covered) should be just right for a small gathering (up to maybe 25). Menu is somewhat limited @ Riff's (burgers of all types, fries, rings, okra, and more, plus some great salads, cheap domestic beer, reasonable draft beer), but if you want a wider variety, you can walk 2 doors down to Taziki's and order. Taziki's will deliver to Riff's (if you ask nicely -- same ownership).
We hope the group continues to grow. We know everyone can't make it every Thursday, but it's great to see folks midweek and maybe plan some rides, etcetera, for the coming weeks/weekends.
We'll be back next Thursday for sure!
