Don't forget that the monthly meeting in April will be in Zachary, La. at the home of Mike & Amelia Bauman. For those who may not have decided to attend yet let me tell you that the crawfish are big and plentiful. The latest run of the traps in the pond yielded 19 sacks or about 769 lbs. and is increasing every run. And to help y'all along in deciding to attend I went in the pond last night with Stacy and caught a mess of big ole bull frogs, 33 to be exact. So in addition to the crawfish and all the other eats and treats we have in store for y'all we will also have fried frog legs "A La Gator" ( ask Jamie if they're good). Camo don't matter much to da frogs at night wit da light in der eyes Just happened to be da shirt dat I grabbed when ah left da house. I'm surprised that y'all could see me.

And I'm hoping they're some mighty fine tastin croakers too. I put the cage they were in in the garage when I got in around midnight and they darn near kept me up the rest of the night with their croakin

The closest thing to that I ever ate was smoked eel in Germany. I thought it was smoked fish until someone told me what I was eating. I suppose if you told me I was eating chicken instead of frog I might get it down.

Honestlly, fried frog legs have a much better flavor than chicken. The texture is different though.

Gator knows some stuff about frying frog legs. (Also he knows how to catch'em by hand. Tommy Arnold and I have seen him do it!)
