  • Christmas party

Suz'anne and I will be in Birmingham early Saturday morning to see the girls and plan on arriving around 5pm for the party. Is anyone else going that early? I want to sample the goodies and take the tour. We will stay that evening with the girls and take them to breakfast on Sunday. I need some suggestions on places to go. We have done the Pancake place in Five Points.

    See you Saturday.

Steve, The Summit on Hyway 280 is an upscale shopping center with lots and lots of shopping for the girls and lots and lots of excellent restaurants for you to decide. Its probably 20 miles from the winery.

Hi Steve. Kathy and I plan to be there around 5 and look forward to seeing you guys.

One of the old Birmingham favorite breakfast places is Bouge's on the south side near Forest Park. The address and phone number is 3028 Clairmont Ave S, Birmingham - (205) 254-9780. It's been a while sense I have been there, so call to be sure they will be open when you want to go. If you do go, see if you can get some of their orange rolls, which are served for lunch, but they may be ready earlier.

The Cracker Barrel is also a favorite place for many folks.

Hey Steve, I don't really do breakfast but we are looking forward to seeing you guys at the party! We hope to be there around 5PM also. Terry Ware and I are planning to ride to the Eldridge Childrens home early in the day. Should be back in plenty of time! See you there!

Thanks for the suggstions. I will call Bogue's and see what they have to say.

Is this a casual dress evening. I don't want Gary to show me up! You know how those old retired birds are

          See everyone Saturday,

I thought all our events required BMW caps and jeans. Damn if I find out we have to dress up.

Steve, I will wear Dockers and a golf style shirt and Malvene will wear slacks and a Christmas sweater.

BTW, I misread your earlier post and did not realize that you were asking about a Sunday morning restaurant. I agree that Bogue's would be good but I checked the web and it shows that they are not open on Sunday. There just ain't a lot of choices around Birmingham. Heck, we don't even have a Shoney's (except downtown [ghetto] Birmingham.) Kind of ho-hum but IHOP may be a choice. Sorry.

                Dress for Xmas Party

                Jamie,
I think Malvene would look nice in\ anything she chooses, but maybe you should consider the whole pier instead of just the dockers . Just grinning, sorry we can't come . We have prior committments.
