Some may recall that we did this ride a couple years ago and had a great time. Mari and I are craving dinner at Boss Oyster and thinking of heading that way this coming weekend.I have talked with Jessica at the Apalachicola River Inn today and she has six "low" rooms available as of right now. The rate is $119 + tax with a Trip Advisor coupon which she will apply for us and that includes "Cooked to order" breakfast the next morning (ahhh...the shrimp and grits are to die for!
)....check out the hotel here http://www.apalachicolariverinn.com/
The "low" rooms are facing the river. If you have never been there before, this is a quaint little place in a very historic working seafood town.
There is a Comfort Inn across town that might be a good alternative spot for those that are interested in that.
Mari and I would plan to be at Boss Oyster for an early dinner at about 3 or 4 before they get their regular dinner crowd in. That way I think it would be easier for our group to sit together and hang out a little longer. The Inn is right next door so you can walk. Also there are many little shops in old town which is an easy stroll from everything.
There is a Comfort Inn in town as well but it is not within walking distance.
Anybody interested in joining us?
