Upcoming elections

Upon reading the January newsletter and reviewing the ballot, I see that there is still no name on the ballot for the secretary’s position. I have had the honor of serving this Club as secretary for the past three years, but I can no longer do so. I have too many personal obligations that need my attention.
Several months ago (some) members were moaning and groaning about the Club fading away without an annual rally; well how long do you think it will last without a complete executive board?
We finally have two members running for president and for vice-president which is great, but what about the other positions? I see we are also without a Director of Safety. Surely there are enough smart, talented folks in this Club to fill these positions. After all, it’s not like you will be making a 40 hour a week commitment for the next 52 weeks.
What will happen if no one steps up?? I don’t know but I don’t think it will be a good thing for our Club.

I will print your email out and bring to meeting to be included in the count. If you prefer to mail it to me, my address is in the 2013 blue book directory.

I have notified Jamie, Barbara and Martha that as of today I am withdrawing my name from consideration for the position of Newsletter Editor/Director of Information for personal reasons. I will be unable to attend the meeting and will send in my vote bye email to Martha.

Hi Tommy, thanks for posting and letting us know. I appreciate your willingness to help the club and I certainly understand if you feel that it is not an appropriate time. We will miss seeing you at the meeting and look forward to seeing you hopefully at the next one! Best wishes and ride safe til we see ya!

Thanks Vance. I had hoped to taken the position but am under so much stress right now, I just don't feel I could contribute in a positive way. Maybe next year.
