  • Blue Springs Meeting Fast Approaching!

The meeting at Blue Springs is fast approaching! While this is not a call for a final head count, we would like to know how many are planning to attend. I will send an eblast for an exact head count by meals but who is making plans to be there?

Don't know? Check the meeting info page for complete information about what is going on and chime in here! This is going to be a great time as we will again be treated to that now famous cuisine. Sure, it may be a "Little Chili" but it sho is good! Add to that the Friday night KK shrimp boil and Saturday morning pancakes...and how could you miss it!

Al and I will be there.

We have room for one more in the camper if anyone is interested. It's a twin bed. Camper sleeps 6 but we will only have 4. Friday and Saturday night.

Suz and I plan to be there also, in the RV of course. The weather will determine whether we tow a bike or the Miata. Yes I can be a wimp but I'll blame it on her.

I'll miss this one due to tickets to 3 on a string already in hand. But am planning on the march meeting.

Re-posted from today's EBlast in case you missed it.....

Hello Alabeemers! I hope you all are doing well after Mother Nature's recent reminder that we are absolutely at her mercy! Since our club is made of members from all over the south and parts beyond I know that some have experienced the grip of winter more than others, but I think it is safe to say we are all tired of it and ready for warmer days! Well, stay strong my riding friends, warmer days and fun times are ahead! In fact the monthly meeting at Blue Springs State Park in Clio, AL is coming up...and fast! The long range forecast is suggesting daytime highs in the mid 70's with low's in the low 50's...and that is going to feel really good based on the temps of late! Perfect camping temps!
Complete meeting details are posted on the website at www.bmwmoal.org but many will just know this is the weekend that is sometimes chilly...and therefore a great time for a "Little Chili" that now famous dish that has become a Saturday night tradition at this meeting! In addition to that tradition the Kalahan's and Kruse's will produce their (now becoming) famous shrimp boil for those riders arriving on Friday afternoon. A hearty pancake breakfast will be served both Saturday and Sunday to get your day started, so if you go hungry at this meeting...it is your own fault!
Saturday morning there will be a ride headed over to Bama Jam Farms near Enterprise for a look around that facility. Russ Kruse will be leading this ride that will wind it's way through some great roads and include a stop for lunch at Huggin' Molly's in downtown Abbeville before returning to the campground in time for a break before dinner after which you can warm yourself and tell lies around Don's warm fire pits!
Immediately following dinner (approximately 7 PM) and while we have everyone together, we will have a short business meeting.
Sounds like a lot of fun right?? Well then here is what we need from YOU!
            To lay in enough groceries to feed everybody, we need to get a head count NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY NOON! Please email Barbara Little Directly at bnclittle@outlook.com with the meals you will be present for;
Friday Night Shrimp Boil - Saturday Breakfast - Saturday Night Chili - Sunday Breakfast
As always we will split the cost of meals between those participating. All camping fees will be collected at the gate by the campground. Tent camping is available as well as some RV spots with electric are available.
You've been shut in, the bikes have been tethered to life support for weeks. Make your plans to join your fellow club members in Blue Springs and find your cure for Cabin Fever!
Email Barbara today! Ride safe and we'll see you there!

I'll be there. Hoping to make it Friday evening. As for Jill...I can never say for sure if she's coming along. We'll see.

Great Chris! I will be leaving Alabaster around noon. I will be riding "Dusty" the Sertao so I am planing a meandering route (sans interstate)down to Blue Springs. If anyone wants to ride along, let me know and I will formalize a meeting point.

I have meetings & a conf call until 1:00 on Friday. If i can get out it will be after that time. For now I'm planning on taking 231 down from 280. Plans are fluid though, so again, we'll see. Worst case is I'm there early Saturday.
