Anyone have the latest info on the opening of the Huntsville BMW shop?

Not sure when the BMW portion will be ready, but they announced the Triumph showroom is now open, sometime earlier this month. Still no mention of a BMW presence on their website.

Thanks for the info. I heard some time ago the BMW portion was to open the last part of July but have not heard anything lately. Thought it would be a good trip if they were opening this weekend.

Got an email from Bobby Luhm, the GM. All of the 2014 models have been allocated so he will not get any stock until the 15 model year in September or October. I'll check again after Labor Day.

I stopped in there and visited with Bobby yesterday on my way to TN. The showroom is done,the Triumph bikes and displays are there and being assembled. As Vernon said apparently the bikes will be there in Oct. He is very anxious to get up and running and wants to have the open house soon...he said he will keep us posted.

Stopped by cycle nation today, they already have a few bikes in the back, still getting the BMW floor done, BMW mechanic has completed training/certification and they expect it will be another month or so before they can put up the BMW logo. Apprantly BMW is strict on having to have all your ducks in order, the appropriate selection of bikes prior to advertising and displaying their brand. Nice bunch of fellas though, my 2014 1200 GSA attracted quite the crowd.

BMW Motorcycles of Huntsville ...

Cycle Nation of Huntsville is now officially a BMW Motorrad dealership and they have their showroom open for business. They are planning a grand opening on Saturday, November 15th, 2014 at the dealership, and there will be Reps from BMW Motorrad USA, and gear companies KLiM, Olympia Moto Sports, and Schuberth North America too. Also, their top BMW tech will be doing a brief talk on tire safety checks and procedures. ... David Haynes (the writer of "Motorcycling Alabama, 50 Ride Loops Through the Heart of Dixie") will do a short discussion of motorcycle camping essentials and will lead a 2.5-hour ride from the shop and back. There will also be another speaker on long distance touring, as well as prizes, freebies and food. If you're up their way, - please consider stoping by. ... And if you can let other folks in the BMW rider community know about the event, it'll be greatly appreciated! • 8:00AM- 8:45AM – Drop off and staging for vintage display bikes.
• 9:00AM -Meeting at Ditto Landing for ride in to the dealership.
• 9:45AM- Kickstands Go up to leave Ditto Landing to head to dealership.
• 10:00AM- Doors open to BMW room.
• 10:00AM - Demo Ride Signup opens it will stay open until all slots are filled.
• 10:30 AM -11:00 AM - Safe Riding Talk with Ray Zimmerman (Safe riding techniques and proper gear to wear).
• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM - Pack your bike for camping and touring with David Haynes & Ray Zimmerman. How to pack your bike for traveling and camping. What bags to accessorize your bike with to be most efficient.
• 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM - Lunch hors d'oeuvres to be served (Easy to eat, easy to serve finger food style).
