At the meeting in Montevallo I think I remember us voting on Big Lagoon State park for the March meeting. What happened to that?

Jamie, When Rodger went back to Big Lagoon to make the reservation he discovered that the Boy Scouts had been given privilege for reserving the group spot. That left us with being spread out all through the park and all reservations have to be made through Reserve America which is cumbersome at best. So as an alternative Rodger found these folks close by that were anxious to host us. There are two levels of cabins available as well as tent and RV spots and the pricing was equal to or better than Big Lagoon. He is working on final details now for a pavilion or spot to host a Saturday night meal there where Jim has agreed to cook a shrimp boil. Working out final details now but he felt it was close enough to change to this next best alternative in the same vicinity.

Rodger does not have internet access at the moment so I guess I am answering for him.....

I recall John Cockrell and maybe others have tried to get us into Big Lagoon for a meeting in the past and it just never seems to work out.....

Sorry...my bad. I did not update Rodger as I should have. Nauvoo is on there was some question just after the meeting but we have talked to Gene and we are on as scheduled!

Info has now been updated for the March meeting that will now be held at the KOA in Lillian, AL on Perdido Bay. Check out all the details under the Info tab on the main web page.

The membership directory will be mailed out week of February 16th with all meeting locations reflected on back binder. All meeting locations have now been confirmed.

I looked at the KOA website for the march meeting and was surprised how many cabins they have there. Several with bathrooms and linens but bring your towels. Others with no bath or linens but still better than the tent. If you go to google earth you can even get the street view of the campground. With their own beach and fishing pier it sounds like a good destination. Looking forward to being there!
