  • Nauvoo Car Show June 20

I just heard from Gene in Nauvoo and the annual car show will be June 20. We had a great time there last year with several bikes on display. This happens to be the same day that Paul & Gail are leading their ride to the Civil War Museum and I know several are planning to make that event too.

Busy summer weekends bring multiple events on any given Saturday so take your pick, get out and ride!!

Are there any details for this event? I tried looking online but can only seem to find prior years.

Brian there will not be a lot of details ahead of time. But this will be the 20th year or so and there will be a lot of local cars and some from farther away too if the weather is good. It is a lot of fun and Gene has been a great supporter of our club and of course we have held a a number of weekend meetings there. Last year several of us took bikes and created a display to support Gene and the show. The weather was good and we had a great time. You will see a whole lot of everything there! I have not heard from anyone for sure yet but I hope we get a few to go!

Won't be able to make it this year. Would be three weekend events in a row so gotta give up one. Would love to be there but "See Ya" at Paint Rock.

Hello Vance, I just wanted to mention that the trip to The Starkville Civil war Arsenal (cannon museum) is David Hogg's idea and he has done all the hard work. I've only made a few phone calls. Duffy Neubauer the Curator happens to be a friend of mine. Gail and I have agreed to lead the group Sat. morning (via back roads) from David's farm to the Mennonite bakery in Brooksville. From there we will continue on to Starkville.

It is only fair to credit David, since he has made his farm available for people Friday night and agreed to feed them also. I think this could be a special time and I hope it is well attended. Paul Thorne
