  • Special Event At Baja Burgers Thursday July 17!

I have been contacted by Christian Pierce the Editor for International Journal of Motorcycle Studies. They will have their annual conference at Barber next week and he was inquiring about a local Bike Night. I have put him in touch with Jack Goertz who is the unofficial "official" director of this event that is held every Thursday night with a few dedicated club members in attendance. Christian plans to wrangle as many riders as he can to ride from Barber's on Thursday afternoon out to Baja to hang with any that want to be there. Christian had no estimate of how many there may be with him but if you want to hang out with a bunch of riders from around the country, this would be a great opportunity!

Usually the faithful begin arriving at Baja located in Hoover on Highway 31 just north of the Cahaba River bridge around 5:30. Jack has gotten the folks at Baja to reserve the outdoor patio for the gorup so there should be plenty of room.

Stop on by and let's show these guys from out of town how to eat a great burger and kick some tires!

Want to know what IJMS is??? Check them out here http://motorcyclestudies.org/

(Unfortunately I will be on my way to the MOA rally in Billings and cannot be there....but I hope we have a great turnout!)

Depending on the weather, we may have the air-conditioned "inside" of Baja Burgers. Anyone not on the way to Billings -- come on by. I'll be at Baja about 4:30pm next Thursday (7/16), just to make sure Greg Finney (co-owner of Baja Burger) is ready for us. Greg has promised us "the best tables in the house" next Thursday.

Baja makes a mean hamburger, lamb burger, veggie burger, you name it! Also great onion rings, salads, fries, and more! Yes, they serve beer and wine, too, for those so inclined. Let's show the folks from IJMS some good Alabama hospitality!

If you've never been to Baja Burgers, it's located in the shopping center about a mile south of the Galleria on US31. Address is 4745 Chace Circle, Hoover AL (Google Maps) 205.682.6980.

There was a great crowd @ Baja Burgers tonight. Was good to see Bob, Tommy & Diana, and David, along with some of the Baja Regulars. Also joining us tonight were 23 persons who are in town for the International Journal of Motorcycle Studies conference, which convenes Friday @ Barber's Museum. It was great to meet some of these fine folks.

Remember, there's almost always a small group meeting @ Baja Burgers each and every Thursday night. Come join in the fun!

Jack, thanks for organizing this on short notice. It was a very enjoyable night with some interesting folks. The food was excellent and the staff at Baja Burgers did a great job of keeping up with a large group.
