great ride in support of the Home today. A little cloudy and rainy but not nearly as cold as we expected this morning. It was good to see all the Alabeemers there...we had a whole table! I am sure that Norwood will give us a final count when it is done!

The weather was indeed "a little cloudy and rainy", but the spirits of the Children and Staff were cheerful and appreciative! The reason for giving was the focus!
Not even Martin's chosen path to the home dampened spirits

        Update,

On a cool, damp and sometimes rainy day...we once again gather for a common cause....the children and mission of Eldridge Children's Home. I want to thank the Club and it's members for your support again... while the attendance numbers due to weather was not a record breaker....the cause and success was... We are just sly of $92,000 for the present count....with 301 bikes and many classic and antique cars we can be thankful for our core support that never fails.... The BMW Club of Alabama is certainly a big part of that support.

At present we are about $5000 from the record in dollars, but we will continue to add to this total from Paypal donations of persons that didn't get to attend, checks and other donations. We have a few employer matching funds donations that usually takes 30 days to process.....so I think we'l reach a new record in dollar in hand donations.

The donation of sponsors and volunteers in the area of food provided, food servers, parking volunteers, sound system and the list goes on and on..... we can't ever place a dollar figure on that.... plus the awareness level that YOU bring and care back to your community, club and church is the core base I speak up...

It takes so many members of our benefit team working together to pull this off....

As of this writing most all have made it home, except a few of the Long Distance riders that will reach home tonight....thus far all are safe.

As a side note: If you ever want to hear the National Anthem sung like it supposed to be......come to Eldridge the First Saturday in December...

Update: as this morning our new total is $96,000. Yesterday we where just short of a new record by $501. The Outreach thrift store which supports ECH with it resources...wrote the check for $501.
While our goal is not breaking records, rather supporting the home with our Toy Run and Benefit The First in December it good to know we have the core support on a day when the weather was a factor in low attendance. Thank you Outreach for your gift and support like years before... I still believe we go even higher when the paper work is finished on employee/employer matching funds donations...
Such a relief to know that our fund raiser and toy run will be a big part of the annual budget and help sustain the home in it's mission for the Children. Thank you for your support. If you like to donate, information is provided in the thread of information...mail or paypal...denote Toy Run on the donation.

Great news Don! I am glad to hear the donations came in even though the weather held the attendance down. Great job by the benefit team!
