Okay folks. Here's the info for this ride.

The ride leaves at 10:00 am from the Shell station at Exit 271 on I-65 north. There is a Cracker Barrel right across the street as well as some other fast food places in case you want to eat beforehand. The ride will be a touring ride of about 2-3 hours with a lunch stop.

It would be helpful if you would post up if you plan to go so Ken can get an idea for lunch.

Sorry about being so tardy with this information. Lenn has pretty much laid out the basic information. Ken wanted me to let you know a little more about the ride we are doing next Saturday so I am sending some promotional materials

Through the communities of Watson, Brookside, Cardiff, Sayre, Sardis, Morris, Kimberly, Warrior. Many of these communities were mining towns long ago; company stores, dangerous mine shafts…And then on to Smoke Rise, Blount Springs, Bangor and Hayden. Passing many churches, cemeteries and schools.

Over 1500 turns in 26 miles!! Sorry, that should read. . . . Over 150 turns.

Please let me know if you will be attending this ride. As Lenn said we will leave the Shell on I-65 exit 271 at 10:00 am. It will not be a real long ride, but it is a pretty ride and we enjoy it. We do need to know about how many people will be on the ride Big Daddy's BBQ is not a real large place and recently won an award for their ribs.

This is a quote from the Birmingham News: "Judges in the Best Ribs in Birmingham contest sponsored by The Birmingham News agree, awarding Big Daddy's Bar-B-Q in Warrior the gold medal for the top barbecue ribs in the seven-county Birmingham metro area. Big Daddy's also finished first in the Readers' Choice Award voting."

I can't promise you won't get wet, but we not be crossing any streams this time!

      Andrea
