Tommy, Plan to leave home at 0800. It's one hour down to John's. Yes I am going to be on the /7. I can meet you somewhere out on 431 if you want to ride to John's with us. Suz is going to be on her F650CS.

Some of the Jasper wing of the group will be headed down to Red's for lunch. That place appears to be in the middle of nowhere on the map. I do like the fact that they named the road that they are on after Lewis Grizzard's dog, though, I guess because they are over there close to Georgia.

Why would someone name their dog "Catfish"? There must be a real story behind that.

Is anyone keeping a head count for Red's on Saturday? Should we call and warn them to expect a good group of hungry riders? My friend from Auburn cannot ride, but I will be there!

Having visited there often when I lived in Clay Co., they are a extremly well run resturant . My take is, if we tell them when we get there, that we are in no big rush to eat and run, they can handle us.

They are open and expecting the BMW Motorcycles Owners of Alabama about 11:30. No problem about accommodating us. I promised them that we would behave ourselves.

I will have to agree that some of the best fried catfish is at Red's. Eleven us enjoyed a great day for a ride to Red's. We came from Auburn, Anniston, Boaz, Birmingham, Alabaster, Scottsboro and Steens, MS.

                        Here are some pictures.

Thanks for the pictures Martin. I still have a grin on my face. What a perfect day for a ride and John Harper sure did know the good roads to take from Anniston down to Red's. For all of you that thought about coming and didn't, you really missed a good one.

Yes Sir, what a great Motor Bike Day, even better with great Friends, on smooth, trash free roads. And ofcourse delicious Catfish !

Thanks Martin. Only Catfish I have ever tasted as good is, Down Younder in Pickens County. Both get two thumbs up !!
