    RTE Sat Mar 31

    The Jasper contingent of the club is meeting at the Hampton Inn just off Corridor X in Jasper at 0930 tomorrow to go to the Rattlesnake Saloon for lunch. Sorry to post so late but this is within 5 minutes of making final plans. Don't worry about the saloon part - they don't serve beer til after 5 pm but the food is ok and the atmosphere is unique.

    how did it go Jake? several of us were in TN in the woods all weekend. The Saloon sounds like a place I want to visit!

      Vance, I'm sure you guys had a better time but for a one day ride it was great. A bit of rain but not enough to spoil the day. We rode through the Bankhead Forest both directions - not the shortest route but the most scenic for sure.

      There were more bikes at Rattlesnake than the other time I was there. They mostly cater to horse people and the parking is not paved. I think they really don't want the biker crowd hence the no beer until after 5 pm. It is now open on Sunday until 3 pm.
