Ride to Alaska 2013

I'm thinking of doing a UCC next year on the way to the nationals. I know some of you are thinking of riding to AK next summer. Who are the ones planning the trip, and when are you planning on going? Will you be doing this on the way to the nationals in Salem? I was thinking of dropping back down to OR after hitting Deadhorse. Maybe I could ride some of the way with you. Anybody interested in a UCC?
If I don't answer right away, I'm leaving tomorrow to go riding in Ireland for a month. If you want to follow it will be on spotwalla under WANDRR.

Alaska is back on my table as well for next year and since I already done Haul Road and Deadhorse, I want to adventure to some other areas... as time draws near...may just connect with you on some part of the ride... While my UCC is a not a record setter by any means I did finish the Key West link later in the year.

If your camping... you would be good to go...but if Motel in plans... hard to find a room...during the D2D, we rode into Dawson a week before the rally...and without the rally rooms where not hard to find... but booked solid the time of rally. Therefore, reservations are a must for motel/hotel/cabins.

If you can work into your trip, that a good route... Whitehorse up to Dawson and then over Top of World, Chicken to TOK... good packed gravel and paved once you get to Alaska USA border.

Got several of the cards out and plan on hitting the forums and web pages.... when we can firm up dates....do you have any idea as to when you may stop at Eldridge, will be on your route from Keys or from Chattanooga?

Hey Don, you're right. Tough to find a hotel during the D2D, especially with a dog. I did find one just a click out of town that took dogs and had room. We would have camped but too much going on to leave Gypsy at the tent.

I will be around in mid April changing bikes and heading to Key West. I would like to stop by Eldridge on the way to the Cajun chaos mid week. If you could get the flag for me I can do Key West first, then after seeing my kids in TN, head to Eldridge for some pictures. I'll let you know some dates when I get things firmed up.

That should work.. In April I am planning on Moonshine and then next weekend at Ironhorse (WNC) for the BMWLT.com weekend...however I need to come back to Alabama after that....which should be the week your heading to Cajun chaos....., I will have the ECH banner ready for you.....
