I am a new member but I will be rideing in from Mobile with another group of bikes, we are meeting at Loxley McDonalds on Hwy 59 at 9:00AM.......

The crowd is dwindling from the north. Some are sick and some can't get away. Right now there are still three, 23 hours to go!

I showed up around 1115 with a fellow rider and his two sons. We stayed until 1230 and only saw John Cockrell. One of the boys that rode with us today won the youngest rider award. He is 18 and this was his first road trip.

Where were you northerners? Hopefully everything is okay.

Hi Steve, yeah our plans came apart last night about 9PM. Frankly with temps in the low 20's forecast we were looking at about a nine hour day. Guess you could say our desire got frozen. Turned out quite nice later this afternoon here though. Wish we had done it but....there will be next year!

Looking at the weather now to see about a "last ride of the year" tomorrow!

We made a whole days ride out of going to Bay Minette yesterday. We got a room and spent last night visiting with some of the Motorcycle Touring Forum folks. We had breakfast at Stockton this morning and waited for ya"ll to show. At a little before eleven we left to avoid the loud pipe cruiser crowd. Hate we missed you. Paul & Gail.

Thanks Gail and Spntshell. Looks like it was a nice day down south. Wish we could have made it! And yes Gail the MTF are a class crowd. I have only met a few of them through Norwood but they are a riding group indeed!

Sorry we missed you two Gail. There were quite a few of loud pipe crowd there for sure.

Vance, going back to the RT was the best move for me. I was very comfortable with just the Gerbing's liner over an under armour LS shirt and my jacket. I wore under armour long johns and just the riding pants (with liner) as well. The wind protection is the best. My friend and his sons were very chilly on their GSs.

The oldest rider was 80. The farthest to get there was a couple, riding their own bikes from Utah. The oldest bike ridden was a 1947 pan head HD.
