  • Blue Springs ride

For those of you attending the February meeting I'm planning a ride on Saturday morning leaving around 9:30, or as soon as the dishes get done from breakfast. The first part of the ride will be somewhat direct towards Enterprise. (45 minutes) I plan on contacting the owner of Bama Jam Farms to open the gates for a tour of the grounds. This area is a diamond in the rough with a multitude of possibilities. After an hour or so, we will venture around Ozark over to Abbyville (60 minutes) and have lunch at Huggin' Mollies. From there we can split up or ride back to Blue Springs State Park (15 minutes). At this time the only dirt portion planned is a look at the 26 miles of trails on Bama Jam Farms property. The roads at Bama Jam Farms are hard pack rock/gravel with some sandy areas. Again we don't have it approved yet but that's the plan. Heck if nothing else, we can just ride somewhere for a Diet Mountain Dew and still go to Huggin' Mollies for lunch. See ya there!

We are renting one of the campers there on site for both nights and have room for two more people. If anyone is interested, shoot me an email at lrainwater@hotmail.com You have to bring your own linens and use the bathhouse but at least it's inside. The cost is $50 that we can split.
