We are so fortunate to live in an area with so many good motorcycling roads close by and fellow club members to tell us about them. A few years back when we were putting together our ABEES Touring Guide, Alabeemers told me about the best roads in their areas. The Cheeseburger In Paradise RTE, for example, is on roads that were recommended by club members and then strung together to make the route. Gary Nesmith gave us the roads from Jacks in Ashville to Pikeville: Gallant Rd., Duck Springs Rd. SR 227, roads through Bucks Pocket and the Langston Rd. He also found the Pikeville Store for us. Jack Kemp: Cr 39. Vernon Headrick: Cr 33, Sr 65 (Paint Rock Valley) and Butler Mill Rd. John Zibell: Kell Mountain Rd. Tommy Crawford and David Hogg: the bypass around Guntersvile; Warrington Rd./Cr 25.

All of the recommended roads and rides are on our website in the Rides section and can be downloaded to your computers for your review: .GDB files for Garmin and .GPX files are there too, so that you can use them with other mapping programs like Google Maps as well as Garmin. Take a look at them, and if they look good to you, suit up and go for a ride.
