2nd Saturday RTE May 12, 2018 to the Rattlesnake Saloon

On May 12, 2018, Martin Benson will lead our 2nd Saturday RTE from Hardees Restaurant @ I-65 (exit 247) & Valleydale Road to the Rattlesnake Saloon near Tuscumbia, AL. The Rattlesnake Saloon is a relaxed, funky watering hole under a giant rock with a menu of appetizers, burgers & sandwiches. Upon arrival, we will leave our bikes in the parking area and ride to the saloon in the back of a pickup truck taxi. After lunch, we will visit the Coon Dog Cemetery, and while there, be sure to check out some of the heartfelt and humorous epitaphs on the grave markers.

Ride details:

1.Start the ride at Hardee’s ( I-65 Ex 247 @ Valleydale Rd). Stands up at 8:00 am with a full tank and empty bladder

2. Take a break at the Old Houston Jail 10:00 am

3. 1st fuel stop in Russellville @ the Chevron, 11:40 am - 137 miles

4. Arrive at Rattlesnake Saloon 12:30 pm

5. Second fuel stop Haleyville @ the Chevron - 110 miles

6. End of ride @ Flying J in north Birmingham (41st & I 65) 5:30 pm

Total distance - 317 miles
